My Learning Experiences on Communicative tools
During covid-19 pandemic, we had the opportunity to utilize communicative tools that significantly enhanced our ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with fellow learners. Some of the tools we used . One of the tools we used was real-time communication platform. Through this platform, we engaged in text-based chats, audio/video conferences with both peers and instructors. This communicative tools allowed us to discuss group work, ask doubts, receive immediate feedback and interact with tutors or friends across the country, making teaching and learning possible.
In addition to real-time communication, we also benefited from the use of discussion forums. These forums provided a space for meaningful discussions where we could engage in conversations with our peers and tutors on various topics/ modules. we posted questions, shared information, and shared ideas fostering collaboration and critical thinking. The asynchronous nature of the forums allowed us to participate at our own pace, accommodating different schedules and time zones. It also provided an opportunity for more thoughtful response and in-depth discussions, as we had time to reflect and formulate our ideas.
One of the highlights of the communicative tools was the integration of peer/tutor feedback. we often exchanged written assignments and other activities with our friends for review and constructive feedback. This collaborative learning approach enhanced our social skills and encouraged collaborative learning. By providing feedback to each other, we developed a deeper understanding concept. The exchange of feedback in a supportive and constructive environment facilitated our learning.
Moreover, the communicative tools facilitated virtual projects, which proved to be a valuable learning experience. We formed groups with our peer and collaborated on shared tasks or assignments. The tools allowed us to brainstorm ideas, divide responsibilities and collectively produce a final project. Through this collaborative endeavor, we honed our teamwork and communication skills, learned to effectively delegate the tasks, and appreciated the benefits of collective effort. The virtual nature of the projects also prepared us for remote or virtual work environments, which are increasingly prevalent in today`s interconnected world.
The communicative tools also played a crucial role in our interaction with module tutors. We had direct communication channels with our tutors, which allowed us to seek guidance, ask questions and request clarification on any topics. Tutors provided feedback on our progress and suggestions for improvement. This individualized attention and support helped us any challenges or misconceptions, enabling us to make significant progress in our learning journey.
In conclusion. communicative tools have revolutionized the way we communicate, connect, and collaborate in the modern world. They have bought the people closer, transcending physical barriers and facilitating global interaction. While they provide numerous benefits , it is important to use them judiciously and maintain balance between virtual and real-world interactions to ensure meaningful connections and foster healthy relationships.
