Paro Dungtse Lhakhang
Paro Dungtse Lhakhang Dungtse Lhakhang, also known as Dungtse temple is a three-story chorten style temple located in Pare valley. The three floors represent different realms of existence, including the underworld, human world and celestial realms. It was built in 1421 by the renowned Tibetan saint and scholar Thangtong Gyalpo. Thangtong Gyalpo was a builder of iron suspension bridges and religious structures. The temple was constructed to subdue a demon that causes diseases and suffering in the area. The temple is also a popular tourists destination due to its unique architectural style and religious heritage.
