Video on my visit to kyichu Lhakhang
Kyichu Lhakhang is an an ancient Buddhist temple located in Paro, Bhutan. It is considered to be one of the oldest and most sacred temples in the country. According to historical records, kichu Lhakhang was built in the 7th century by the Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo. He ordered the construction of 108 temples in a single day to subdue a demoness, who was causing obstacles to the spread of Buddhism. Kichu Lhakhang is said to be of the two temples built in Bhutan as part of this divine plan, with the other being Jampa Lhakhang in Bumthang.
Kichu Lhakhang has several important relics such as Jowo Jampa statue, Statue of Guru Rinpoche and many more. Kichu Lhakhang holds immense religious significance of Bhutanese people. It is believed to be a place of great spiritual power and is visited by both local and pilgrims from around the world. The distance from Paro town to Kichu Lhakhang is approximately 4 kilometers. It takes around 10-15 minutes by car to travel from Paro town to Kichu Lhakhang, depending on the traffic conditions.
